Just As I predicted...Whoops !

It happens every year.
A couple of weeks in and nothing looks like it's supposed to.
The good news for all those with pre season crystal balls is that it also bares almost no resemblance to how it will all end.
So, welcome to every year.

As the weekend started you like I had these teams as your division winners:
Baltimore, Kansas City and Oakland in the American League.
Florida, St Louis and Arizona in the National.
Okay, bully for you, you really did have the Diamondbacks.

To make matters worse, here's a sampling of some of the LAST place teams:
The Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners.
Thank goodness for the Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants to help welcome us back from the Bizarro world.

Inside out days don't end there:
If the season ended there, your batting champs would be:
Luke Scott of the Baltimore Orioles and Jason Kendall of the Milwaukee Brewers.

C.C. Sabathia and Houston's Roy Oswalt are winless and have been pounded.

There's no question with the way things are going that every closer in the game will lose their job before September.

Certainly plenty is about to change, but some things already have.

Daisuke Matsuzaka has come to his 2nd major league season ready to be the star that he was supposed to be.
He's had a year of this strange new culture under his belt now.
Kansas City's Zack Grienke appears at peace and finally looks ready to be the 6th overall draft choice he was in 2002.
Toronto's Vernon Wells is returning to form and is poised for a big comeback year.
Tampa Bay's Carlos Pena is for real after a monster breakthrough season last year at age 29.

In the National League:
The tide has turned for the Cincinnati Reds as they boast two and soon to be three of the top young pitchers in the game.
Johnny Cueto and Edinson Volquez have made Dusty Baker very happy that he landed on his feet in the Queen City
and Homer Bailey is blowing away hitters at AAA and will be on the way soon.

Wait a minute...
My crystal is getting fuzzy...
I can't see anyth..........
