CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MCNSports Network and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are pleased to announce a partnership whereby MIT athletic events will be broadcast by the MCNSports Network. The agreement will result in free, live coverage of MIT's home athletic events and will also include a video-on-demand service.
MCNSports will continue to focus on broadcasting excellence and will utilize the latest in technology to present MIT sports from many new and exciting camera angles. Leveraging off proven HDX technology, MIT events will be streamed using near-HD resolutions, thereby maximizing the total viewer experience.

"However, many people do not realize that the Institute is a top-notch athletic power. The MCNSports Network is both honored and proud to be able to work with MIT to showcase some of the best student athletes in Division III sports, playing at the highest level."
MIT sponsors one of the largest athletic programs in the nation with 41 intercollegiate teams. While the development of web-casting has created enthusiasm in athletic circles across the country, MCNSports sees MIT's broad-based program as an opportunity to provide a wide variety of sports programming, and will create a unique user experience for sports such as gymnastics, water polo, fencing, and swimming and diving.
